About Us
The SAC Booster Club is a Non-Profit 501 3C Corporation. We are an organization of families of special needs students enrolled in Edison High School’s Special Abilities Cluster (SAC) Programs, which consist of Core, LINC and SUCSESS programs. We meet monthly during the school year to discuss ideas and ways to contribute to the education and extra-curricular activities of the students. We strive for a collaborative effort between families of SAC students and the SAC staff and teachers.
In the past, the SAC Boosters have sponsored monthly dances, bowling, Yoga, Hip Hop, Outrigger Paddle, Educational Speakers, an annual beach bonfire, Bell Game Tailgate, and participated in EHS sports like football, soccer, basketball, swim, surfing, and baseball. We also support the Best Buddies Club on campus. SAC Alumni are invited to Friday night dances.
The Boosters communicate through emails and our website to keep everyone informed of ongoing events. We are beginning to post on our website family and disability related resources and information that may be helpful for the long term life of our SAC students.
Our annual project is creating the “SAC Yearbook”. A mini-yearbook devoted exclusively to the students and staff associated with the SAC program. In order to continue to provide these services, we depend upon contributions from parents/guardians and local businesses.
By joining our group annually, participants can be a part of making their student’s years at Edison more meaningful. The SAC Booster Club is made up of a Board of at least 5 members that are volunteers and have a current student in the SAC program.
